Light Bright

I've been super duper busy lately but I'm finally back to make a post. Lyndsey came by a few weeks ago and volunteered to hang out with me and my camera. I recently bought some new fairy lights and backdrops for the studio and we gave them a whirl. When she wasn't preoccupied with swooning over my dog we managed to take some pics.

Die, Die My Darling

Reva came over and we had some more Halloween themed fun. I wanted to get gory and she happily obliged. I gave her a nice looking slit throat and we proceeded to get crazy. As time rolled on we got increasingly more messy & deranged. This was definitely one of my favorite shoots of the year and I want to give Reva a big shout out for being a trooper (even though she appeared to have more fun than I did). Special fx makeup certainly seems like it'll become one of my new favorite hobbies and I can't wait to try out more stuff. FYI she decided to drive home like this and proceed to scare her family.

Horror Business

Halloween has rolled around once again. Halloween has recently become one of my holidays thanks to all of the awesomeness I've seen over the internet. I decided last year I wanted to do some special fx makeup but in typical Crutch fashion I waited until a few days beforehand to actually buy the materials. Here what I walked away with after a dozen youtube videos and about 4 hours of practice.

Almost Here

Chelsea came back for round two with me. At this point she was around week 40 in her pregnancy give or take a week, and about pop. Fast forward to today and little Blakely is 2 weeks old and breathing real air and consuming nutrients like the rest of us. Well here's the proud mama back in all of her former big bellied glory.

Rebirth Of Slick

Jasmine and I decided to go for a different look this time around. First of all I want to give a shout out to my girl Julia Abe (@juliasumire) for the style inspiration. I styled this shoot with a grungy/psychedelic vibe in mind.  I've wanted to start playing around with colored hair & wigs for bit now, so I finally gave it a shot. The results were a Princess Bubblegum/Leeloo from the "5th element" hybrid. Our first spot was a good ol' fashioned grocery store parking lot. I can't remember when but a while back I saw an Instagram portrait of a chick in a shopping basket and I've had the idea saved up in my head for a while now. Luckily for me Jasmine is tiny enough to fit into most places without any problems. We got the shots I wanted then we headed to our second spot where we weren't getting funny looks from random onlookers. We ended up walking away with with some pretty cool stuff like usual.
